Fruits and Vegetables 2022

Note:  Entries are to be placed on display Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM and are not to be removed until Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at 4:30 pm.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. One entry per exhibitor in any section
  2. Exhibitor must be a Member of the Cumberland Township Agricultural Society unless listed as a Junior entry (16 years and under). You must give your membership number when entering.
  3. All entries must be produced or grown by Exhibitor.
  4. Entries must be phoned in to 613-698-9206 or emailed to NavanFruitsandVeggies@gmail.com on or before Sunday, July 31st.
  5. Plates will be available for Vegetables.
  6. Judging will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday, August 4th.
  7. All vegetables should be lightly washed.
  8. Sweet corn, 1/3 husk removed from tip to butt.
  9. Onions not to be peeled, but roots may be left on.
  10. Blossoms should be left on beans.

  8. Cucumbers, gherkins (4) 1” to 2” – 1/2” stem still attached
  9. Onions, white (2)
  10. Onions, yellow (2)

  12. Peppers, green sweet (3)

ADULT CLASS – AGE 17 and over

Prize Money        1st – $7.        2nd – $6.        3rd – $5.        4th – $4.

28. Scarecrow – no more than 5 feet high – must be free standing and use things that blow in the wind

29. Table centrepiece using real and/or artificial fruits & vegetables, and/or grains – not to exceed 12” high

30. Create a poster promoting pollinator awareness and/or protection. **Note: In addition to the prize money, the 1st prize winner of this category will also be awarded a special bee product prize package, on behalf of Wilmead Farms.
